Bring a child to salvation, help him take his first steps in faith and lay the foundations that will allow him to become an adult with a balanced and living faith, WHAT FORMIDABLE FOR A MONITEUR OR A PARENT!

Accompany the monitors

I have often been challenged by the courage, fidelity and consistency of most of the many monitors or monitor managers I have met. The task entrusted to them is not easy, especially since they are rarely children’s professionals.
Some begin in Christian life and, although they have a burning desire to communicate their faith to children, they have not yet had time to acquire a great knowledge of God and His Word.
Others already have serious experience, but lack the time or availability to prepare as they would like their sessions with the children.
Others have never been able to progress sufficiently to become “experts”. Yet they keep their commitments and courageously perform their service.
Still others are starting to distance themselves from this important department, most often because they are discouraged. Perhaps they do not have the equipment and tools to facilitate their work? Perhaps they are tired of the tensions and rivalries among the monitors? Maybe they’re giving up the game because of their failures? Perhaps, and most often they feel overwhelmed by today’s children?

Until a few years ago, chairs, a painting, a Bible, a lesson book and a committed and motivated instructor were enough to teach a group of children.
Today, the world in which our children live has changed so much! From birth, they are familiar with increasingly attractive screens, which can be great educational tools, but have a formidable ability to attract.
The family context has also changed, with its disastrous impact on many children even in our churches.
It is enough to listen to the confidences of the monitors to discern the new difficulties they face: children are agitated, they do not listen, they do not obey, are not interested, have difficulty concentrating, complain that they are always taught the same thing, etc.

The Monitor Workshop was created to meet these new needs. Its aim is to provide instructors with a suitable and varied curriculum and teaching resources, enabling both the experienced instructor and beginner to teach today’s children effectively.
