God’s look at the child

– > God chose men from birth and even often before: Moses, Samuel, Samson, David, Jeremiah, John the Baptist.

– > On the day of Pentecost, the Apostle Peter announces that the promise of the Holy Spirit is “for you and for your children” (Acts 2.39).

– > Jesus reveals to us that angels care particularly for children and see the face of the Father continuously (Matthew 18:10).

– > The Bible devotes entire chapters to the education of children.

– > Jesus had a special attention for the children: “Watch out! Don’t despise any of these little ones!” (Matthew 18.10)

– > In the temple, Jesus answers the priests: “The mouths of the children and the babies say your glory, as you intended.” (Matthew 21.15) Jesus heeds the praise of children.

– > Jesus is outraged by those who repel the very small children and he takes them in his arms. (Mark 10.13)

– > He asks us not to provoke opportunities to sin for children through our attitudes or words (Matthew 18.6).

– > “… your Father who is in heaven does not want one of these little ones to be lost.” (Matthew 18.14)
